Mark Mulroney: Flick it to Win It
Thursday, February 03, 2011
As promised, the info for the Flick Football Tournament, featuring Team Captain Mark Mulroney, will commence this Friday at Partners & Spade.
Word is out, thanks to Daily Candy:
What: Put those seventh grade tabletop skills to use during artist Mark Mulroney’s pint-size, pre-Super Bowl gathering.
Why: Take a break from playing to admire relics of paper seasons past. (We’re impressed by the Billy Graham-inspired “Flick Thee Satan Back to Hell” record.)
When: Fri., 6-9 p.m.
Where: Partners & Spade, 40 Great Jones St., b/t Bowery & Lafayette St. (646-861-2827). Admission is free. To sign up, e-mail post@partnersandspade.com.

Thanksgiving Roundup
Monday, November 29, 2010
I spent a lovely Thanksgiving holiday this past week in Los Angeles where I had the opportunity to visit Stas Orlovski's studio (above). Orlovski's upcoming exhibition of new work opens on March 24, 2011 at Mixed Greens.
Just before I left for the holiday, Mixed Greens celebrated the opening of Alexander Reyna's window installation LoveHateNow. Above: Heather, Zander and Steven check out the multimedia windows from street level on a freezing day.
Here's a closer look at the Duratrans and video-projection. It's best viewed from street level between the hours of 3-6pm (when it's darker outside).

Friday is Fun Day
Friday, October 29, 2010
This FUN DAY photo was sent it to us by world-traveler, Rob Carter. Rob did want to make clear that he was not participating in the above "event", but was merely an observer. I felt it fitting to post today since most of the outfits above look a lot like the costumes that Ricky's is selling for Halloween.
Fun Day reading list:
Maybe not such a good idea to have a wedding ceremony in a language that you don't understand. Same rule applies for tattoos.
Wynnnnnnnnn.
