It's that time of the month again! #Installation
As of yesterday, Sonya's work is down but do not shed a tear. Conor is currently installing away his first solo exhibition with Mixed Greens. *fanfare*
Here's the obligatory artist-installing-the-show photo.
Here is our intern Delaney rocking a jump suit while painting the walls white. I think her rocking a jumpsuit deserves a hashtag nod.
The show is looking great so far. Here's a sneak peak of the show.
Meanwhile in the state of Texas, Steven is also installing away! He is currently down in Houston for the Texas Contemporary Art Fair 2013. Steven sent some photos of the installation process, and it seems like he wanted us to play a round of Spot the Difference.
So that is all for today readers. Don't forget to come to our opening on Thursday 6-8pm
and if you're down in Houston please say hello to Steven!

Everything inevitably comes to an end, Sonya's most recent show Renovations
being no exception. Rob is currently patching away the walls and columns while Sonya is taking down the paper sculptures.
If you haven't seen the show (shame on you), make sure to read the fantastic review of the show written by Darren Jones. You can read the article here
Meanwhile, we have received Conor Backman's new work today morning! Stay tuned for more photos of our staff and the artist installing tomorrow!

Jayson Musson aka Hennesy Youngman
is now Franklin Vivray. In his new series called "Painting towards Happiness
," Jayson channels his inner Bob Ross and absolutely nails it. Franklin Vivray talks about a variety of topics within art -- how it is perfectly acceptable to paint from photos now, how painting is NOT dead as long as mother nature still sings, how modern art is garbage, how Kafka is the worst, and how there is no wrong way to paint a feeling, all the while painting luscious, rolling hills with a minty green and a tree trunk with brown straight out of the tube.
Okay enough talking, just watch it. I've already watched it a thousand times. It is SO GOOD.

We were excited to receive a delivery of new sculptures from Mark Mulroney this afternoon at Mixed Greens:
This colorful group will be featured at the Texas Contemporary
in Houston, TX from October 10-13.
Check out this very recent video interview, recently featured in JUXTAPOZ
Sex is Hard to Avoid
, directed by Deanna Sheward
& Luis M. Castañeda
Mulroney talks about the uncanny, the beauty of a cheap joke, bodies and fluids, and cartoonish excess.
