Studio Visit with Rudy Shepherd

Last week the MG crew went to Governor's Island to go on a studio visit with Rudy Shepherd. He has a studio at Governor's Island as part of the LMCC residency program, and he has made a lot of new exciting work for his upcoming solo exhibition in September. There were many small portraits - he makes them as a daily practice - as well as some larger work on paper. It's a fun trek to go out to the island on a nice sunny day, and you can even check out his studio in person during the summer open studios. Also make sure to see his "Black Rock Negative Energy Absorber" at First Street Park. It will be up for the entire summer.

Rishi & Mark

Heather & Rishi went upstate to Syracuse this weekend to visit Mark Mulroney's studio! We can't show you any photos of Mark's recent work BUT we can blog a photo of Rishi holding up Mark like a baby. To see Mark's new work, make sure you stop by our booth in VOLTA NY 2014!

Brad's Family Visits MG & Studio Visit with Maria Walker

Last weekend, Mixed Greens had some very special guests visiting the gallery. Brad's family stopped by to get a closer look at the show. #adorbz



We also recently went on a studio visit with the lovely Maria Walker! She had some amazing pieces to show us during the visit.
